  3. Rewa Smriti Says:

Hey nice to read about bihar and thanx arun for putting the facts. But, people have you ever think why Bihar, the land of Lord Buddha is suffering?

  4. Ram Says:

Jai Bihar ! Jai India !

  5. Umarji Says:

Source of statistics? Are these demographics supported by Bihar Govt. studies?

Fake degrees are available easily in Bihar. That explains the greater number of graduates.

What is the percentage of literacy? Speak in percentage as opposed to absolute numbers.

The thing with statistics is this: if you have enough data, you can prove almost anything. Its easy to twist statistical data (even if the veracity can be confirmed)

If Bihar is such a heavenly place to live in, why do we constantly see contrary statements in all sorts of media? Is that media propaganda against Bihar?

  6. Holy~Devil Says:

    Thanks for commenting Umarji.
My friend sent me a mail and i just pasted it here. So I am not sure about statistics. But one thing i would like to say that these facts are true, as I have experienced in my sphere of life .You pick any state or department and you would find most of the higher ranked/posted individuals would be from Bihar.

Since i am a graduate from IIT Kharagpur and have been to other IITs too, I know the brilliance of guys from Bihar. About administrative services, per say IAS, you should check the facts and it would come true.

Media exaggerate any damn thing. Truly speaking i don’t believe in Media and its authenticity. And honestly speaking propaganda might be. I am not a big FAN of Laloo yadav. But the accolade he is getting by just turning the face of Indian Railways speaks volume about a Bihari. Just think, if a so called and proved sometimes too, politician can create such a big impact on country level then just imagine the impact of an honest IAS officer from Bihar???

Rest analysis is up to you.
    Cheers

  7. Barun Jha Says:

    Statistics unreliable.

Even if they are true, we have nothing to boast of. If we have 20-30 selection in civil Services each year just check what fraction of those who appeared made it through. If we are so exceptional in IITs why the same figure is not reflected in IIMs.

Yes Bihar is a great place but you cannot keep boasing on your past. Move on……
The present state of Bihar and future course needs a lot of introspection. I believe we need to break away from our archaic mindset which revolves around around all negative things which I don want to mention here.

    Let’s be pragmatic.
Let’s have a constructive participation for a progressive Bihar.

  8. Holy~Devil Says:

I have already Clarified about statistics and source.

If out 0f 300 odd seats 30 are from Bihar that becomes 10% and if that is produced by one state out of 35 states& UTs that becomes 250% more than any state shud produce. :)

And since there is no industry to work in Bihar (Credit to honest politicians )we are left with option of being labour/Farmer/Engineer/Doctor/Teacher and earn money so all guys who pass out from IITs soon join job and serve their parents.

That’s why we have less no of IITians from Bihar ,if you say so, in IIMs. If you can compile a data base of IITians working in companies you will say wowwwww so many of us.

I guess this is a collective mistake that young and smart people of India like cool and peaceful life. They say politicians are idiot and later say same for us. So we need to rise for the ocassion not only in Bihar but for whole India.

I see the ray of hope in this awarness because of the win of UPA on same agenda.

    Cheers and Thanks for comments.

  9. Barun Jha Says:

So called politicians by you are one of us, chosen by us. It’s really easy to pass on the baton of ill performance onto them. We forget that it is our responsibility to have right representation in democracy.
Being a Bihari I may sound antagonist, but let me make a point…..
30 out of 300 is 10% ….fine….but at the same time don’t forget that we have around 8% of the population……and that in no way says that we are producing 250% more than what we should produce. Once try to think it that way too.

Stupidity is one’s perspective,we cannot change that.

  10. Holy~Devil Says:

    :)

I don’t vote because i don’t find any politician intelligent and smart enough to be my leader. Except a few whom i can’t choose as they are from “Rajya Shabha”.

These rascals do not give chance/seat to a guy from IITs/IIMs due to their lobbeing. When ever i will get these candidates i will vote for them.

When almost 50% of population is illiterate then actual population which represent aspirants from UPSC is not more than many states.

Politicians are not so called, actualy they are :P

Most of the people have least analytical power and i call them stupid.

  11. Barun Jha Says:

Wow….we have one more who do not vote….if you do not choose what you like, do not complain.
Around 50% populations are illiterate, actual population……is an excuse. Do not blind yourself of their existence. It will be a very humble acceptance; we are responsible for the state we are in.
Everyone call themselves politician in Bihar, except some politician who exists or not, I doubt.
Analytical power used to misrepresent the facts is unethical in a civilized society

  12. Holy~Devil Says:

    ahhahahhaahhaa

“Analytical power used to misrepresent the facts is unethical in a civilized society.”

This is a very well fabricated comment.

This is what all politicians around the world have been doing since 1000 or more years. :)
